About this Document

This document combines the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy for the AdmissionsNest website (admissionsnest.in) and any related services we operate. By visiting the website, submitting a counselling enquiry, calling our team, chatting on WhatsApp, or otherwise interacting with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this document.

If you do not agree with any part, please do not use the website or our services.

Who We Are

AdmissionsNest is an education counselling service that helps prospective students compare online and distance-mode degree programs offered by UGC-recognised universities in India and shortlist programs that fit their goals.

Terms of Use

These terms form a binding agreement between you (the visitor or enquirer) and AdmissionsNest. They are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka.

Our Services

AdmissionsNest provides:

  • Free counselling on online degree programs (UG and PG) offered by partner universities.
  • Course and university comparison tools, fee information, EMI estimates and program details.
  • Admission support, including documentation guidance and follow-up with the university's admission cell.

We are an independent counselling and information service. We are not a university, are not a recruiter for any single institution, and do not award degrees. Final admission decisions, eligibility checks and degree issuance rest entirely with the respective university.

Eligibility

By using this website you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are using the website with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Counselling, applications and any commitments must be authorised by an adult.

User Responsibilities

When you submit information or interact with our team, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself.
  • Use the website lawfully and not attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse-engineer or compromise it.
  • Not impersonate any other person or submit a request on someone else's behalf without their consent.
  • Independently verify university fees, eligibility, accreditation status and program details with the university before paying any fee or signing any commitment.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

All information on this website — including university details, course structures, fees, EMI estimates, eligibility criteria, accreditation status, placement claims, and admission timelines — is provided for general guidance only and may change without notice. Actual figures and policies are determined solely by the university.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AdmissionsNest is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from:

  • Reliance on information shown on the website or shared during counselling.
  • Decisions taken by a university (including admission, rejection, fee changes, or withdrawal of a program).
  • Loss of data, downtime, or interruption of the website.
  • Third-party content or links shared through the website.

Our total liability in any case is limited to the amount (if any) you have paid AdmissionsNest directly. Counselling itself is provided free of cost.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the AdmissionsNest logo, copy, layout, graphics, comparison tools and software — is owned by AdmissionsNest or its licensors and is protected under Indian and international intellectual-property laws. University names, logos and marks shown on the site are the property of the respective universities and are used for identification purposes only.

You may view, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any republishing, scraping, modification or commercial use without written permission is not permitted.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you. It is published in line with the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India), and is intended to comply with the policy requirements of advertising platforms including Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and Google Ads.

Information We Collect

9.1 Information you provide

When you fill out the counselling form, call us, message us on WhatsApp or email us, you may share:

  • Identity & contact — full name, mobile number, email address, city / state.
  • Education interest — course you are interested in, qualification, year of completion, work experience, university preference.
  • Conversation content — messages or call notes shared with our counsellors.

9.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the website we automatically receive:

  • Device and browser information (device type, operating system, browser, screen size).
  • IP address (used in approximate, city-level form), language, time zone.
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, referring URL, and search terms that brought you to us.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking identifiers (see Section 12).

9.3 Information from advertising platforms

If you reach the website through an ad on Facebook, Instagram, Google or another partner, we may receive a click identifier and basic ad-attribution data from that platform. We do not receive your password, financial details, or content of your private messages on those platforms.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as caste, religion, financial account credentials, biometric data, or health records, and request that you do not share such information with us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Contact you about your enquiry by phone, WhatsApp, SMS or email.
  • Recommend programs and universities that match your stated goals.
  • Coordinate your admission with the university's admission cell, including sharing the documents you authorise.
  • Improve the website, our content and our counselling process based on usage patterns.
  • Measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and reach similar audiences who may benefit from our service.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse or technical issues.
  • Comply with applicable laws, lawful requests from authorities, and our internal record-keeping obligations.

Lawful basis. We process your personal information based on (a) the consent you provide when you submit the form or initiate contact, (b) the legitimate interest of running our counselling service responsibly, and (c) compliance with legal obligations.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:

  • University partners — when you ask us to apply or be considered for a specific program, we share the relevant enquiry details with that university's admission team.
  • Service providers — we use vetted vendors for hosting, email, CRM, calling, WhatsApp Business messaging, analytics and advertising. They process information only on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations.
  • Advertising platforms — aggregated and / or hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email or click ID) may be shared with Meta, Google and similar platforms to measure ad performance and to build look-alike audiences. These identifiers do not include your name, mobile number or message content in plain text.
  • Legal & safety — if required by a court, regulator or law-enforcement authority, or to protect our rights, users or systems.
  • Business changes — in case of a merger, acquisition or restructuring, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to the same protections.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, SDKs) to keep the site working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure marketing performance.

You can clear cookies and disable them in your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com and within your Facebook / Instagram ad-preferences.

Advertising on Meta & Google

We run advertising campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google (Search, Display, YouTube) and other platforms to reach prospective students.

  • We use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure events such as page views, content views, lead-form submissions and contact button clicks.
  • We use the Google Ads conversion tag and Google Analytics 4 to measure ad performance, optimise campaigns and create remarketing audiences.
  • We may upload hashed contact information (such as an SHA-256 hash of an email address) to these platforms to measure conversions and create look-alike audiences. Plain-text personal data is not shared.
  • We do not run ads or advertising categories prohibited by Meta and Google (for example: misleading academic claims, guaranteed admissions, prohibited financial products, or content targeting minors).
  • We do not use sensitive personal data for ad targeting.

If at any time you do not wish to see ads from us, you can hide our ads on Facebook and Instagram, opt out of personalised Google ads, or write to us at info@admissionsnest.in to suppress your contact details from our advertising audiences.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or anonymised. As an indication:

  • Active counselling enquiries: up to 24 months from the last interaction.
  • Admitted students: as long as required to support the admission and per the partner university's record-keeping needs.
  • Marketing analytics in aggregated form: up to 26 months (Google Analytics default) or as configured.
  • Records required for legal, tax or audit reasons: for the period prescribed by law.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information — including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions for our team, and regular reviews of our vendors. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, but we work hard to reduce risk and to respond quickly if anything goes wrong.

Your Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your information ("right to be forgotten") where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent for further communication or processing.
  • Opt out of marketing calls, WhatsApp messages or emails at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@admissionsnest.in from the email or phone number on record. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

The website and services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@admissionsnest.in and we will delete it promptly.
